My Dearest Close Christian Friend, Jean collections

My Dearest close Christian friend, Jean,

Verily I have promised unto thee, a selection
of my short poems on-line. However, I have
decided to give you a sample of my poems
both old and new. You art a source of my
poetic inspirations.

You gave me hope, when I had none,
You gave me, friendship, when I
used to have problems keeping friends.
You became both my mentor and also my
beloved Bible study teacher.

But most of all, you became my
dearest sister in Christ Jesus,
a friend sticking closer than
any sister or any bother.
The kingdom of heaven truly
belongs to the likes of you!

My Special Friend

I have a very special friend who
knows where all of the wild flowers
grow. He sees the raindrops and
snowflakes gently fall
from heaven's sky. He watches over the
birds as they gracefully soar
high above the earth. He hears
all of the children's bedtime prayers.
He knows how many fish swim
in all of the oceans, lakes and seas.
But most of all, my special
friends knows and cares about me.

The Quiet Hours

In the early morning's quiet
hours, Christ Jesus will surely
come to you as softly as the
morning's dew.

In troubled times, Christ will
never leave nor forsake you and
will protect you too.

And so my special friend, I say
to you-if you pray in the quiet
hours, peace will come gently.

The First Signs of Spring

The April's shower brought the
first signs of spring. I could hear
the little birds sing. What joy to
my mornings they did bring!

Above me, in the sky. I could see a
beautiful rainbow. On my lawn, yellow
dandelions began to grow. Lovely pink
and yellow blossoms burst forth into

bloom on my fruit trees. Bumble bees
and butterflies caught my watchful
eyes. It was so peaceful, I began
to sigh. I began to know just how

much my Creator must love me, because
of the wonderful world I see.

A Small Child's Seasons

Every small child knows, each spring
brings gentle rain showers, when he
can pick pretty yellow and white flowers.

Summer brings the warmth of the noon day's
sun. Every autumn, the leaves turn yellow,
red and brown. Than like a dying sparrow,

they fall to the ground. Sometimes on a
brisk autumn's day, he watches with
awesome wonder, the wind blowing
all of the leaves away.

O Lord...Teach Your servant

O Lord...teach your servant
To always be gentle and kind.
Please fill her spirit with your
Love divine.

O Lord...teach your servant
To always be wise and good.
Help her to love and serve
Others as she should.

O Lord...teach your servant
To always be enthusiastic
And strong. Grant her the
Necessary courage and conviction
to carry on.

The Wish

O how I wish it were a bright
and glorious spring day early in
the month of May. I can almost
hear the little bluebirds sing.

What joy to my perfect day they
would bring! Bumblebees and
butterflies would captivate my
watchful eyes.

It would be so wonderfully peaceful,
I would begin sigh. O what a lovely
way to spend a beautiful spring day.

Under the shelter of
His wings

Under the shelter of His wings,
our hearts will rejoice and our
spirit's will sing! Glory to
Christ our Lord and King!

Under the shelter of His wings,
we can find comfort and freedom
from despair; because our Savior
and our Lord truly cares.

Under the shelter of His wings,
we can praise our Lord and
Candlelight for His free gift
of everlasting life!

Thanksgiving Day

I know it is the season of the year to be jolly, stores are already decking their windows with
Christmas trees and holly. Christmas is their jubilant cry. Shop for Christmas, buy, buy, buy.
But wait a minute, I reply. Please do not pass THANKSGIVING by. It is a holiday too, you see.
So please, for awhile forget the Christmas tree. Instead give thanks, I humbly pray, and do not
forget Thanksgiving Day.
